You'll draw an area on the map, pick its block and see how many blocks it covers. Free to plan alone · No account
Pick the Area tool
Press 3 or click Area on the left. The hint says "Click to add area corners".
Click the corners
Click every corner of the outline. From the third corner on, the hint shows the blocks covered and the size, for example "1,250 blocks · 50 × 25".
Backspace removes the last corner, Esc cancels.
Close it
Click the first corner again, press Enter or double-click. The area is selected and the inspector opens.
Pick its block
Under Material, pick what covers it: grass, stone, water, farmland… The area shows in that block's texture. Without one it stays a plain colour.
The numbers
- Blocks covered, with stacks of 64
- Size: width × depth of the box around it
Very big areas are estimated: then the number starts with ≈.
Change it later
- Drag the white corner handles to reshape it, drag the area to move it.
- Name, Status, Colour and Notes are in the inspector.
- Details of every corner: open Coordinates in the inspector.
Fill it with a layout
A selected area has a Fill with a layout… button. It plans streets, plots and houses inside the outline, or fields, or a castle wall. See Layouts.
