Sign in with a code
Connect the MC Planner mod to your account with a short code, the way you sign in on a TV. Minecraft never sees your email or password.
For Mod 0.2.0 · Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric · Updated
The mod uses your MC Planner account: a Lab43 account, the same one you sign in with in the app. You sign in in your browser and press Connect. The mod gets its own key for this computer and never sees your password.
Open the sign-in screen
In a world, press J (or type /mcplanner). At the top right of the MC Planner menu, press Sign in.
Open the website
Minecraft shows three steps and a code in large letters, like BCDF-GHJK. Press Open browser: it opens auth.lab43.dev/device. Copy code puts the code on your clipboard, if you need to type it somewhere else.
Sign in and check the code
On the website, sign in with your account. Check that the code there matches the one in Minecraft, then press Connect.
Done
Minecraft shows Connected ✔ and "Signed in as" your name, then moves on to Choose a plan by itself: Pick a world or a plan file.
A countdown under the code shows how long it's valid. Took too long, or pressed Cancel on the website? Press Try again for a new code.
Your plan
After you sign in, the mod checks whether your account has an active plan, and checks again now and then while you play. Your own shared worlds and plan files need your plan; friends' worlds need theirs. See Whose plan counts.
Included with Cloud, Team and Lifetime · Try 7 days free · Friends in your worlds use it freeStaying signed in
- The mod stays signed in on this computer until you sign out. You don't need to sign in again for every game or every profile.
- The key is kept in your user folder (
.lab43/mcplanner-minecraft.json), not in the Minecraft folder, so exporting or sharing a modpack doesn't include your account. (Only if the user folder can't be written to, it goes to the profile'sconfig/mcplanner-auth.jsoninstead.)
Sign out
- In the game: J → Sign out. This disconnects this computer from your account.
- From anywhere: on auth.lab43.dev/account, under Connected devices, press Disconnect next to Minecraft (it's listed as "Minecraft 26.2" and your system). The mod notices on its next request and shows "Signed out".
