Shaders and performance
The MC Planner mod works with Sodium and with Iris shader packs. What shows with shaders, and the settings that keep big plans smooth.
For Mod 0.2.0 · Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric · Updated
Sodium and Iris
- Sodium works.
- Iris works, with shader packs: lines, labels, tiles, fills, walls and roofs all show. The mod draws through Minecraft's own drawing, which Iris understands, and never around it.
- For the same reason it's made to work with 26.2's Vulkan option too.
Only lines and no fills? See Only lines, no fills.
Good to know: fills don't hide what's behind them, so water and glass still show through. Water in front of a fill can look a little too strong. That's how it's drawn, nothing to fix.
Keep it smooth
The mod only draws what's near you, and spreads the work over several frames. If a big plan still slows your game down:
Draw less far
Display… → Draw up to: lower it from 160 blocks to 128, 96 or 64.
Fewer labels
Display… → Labels up to: lower it, or switch Labels off in the menu. At most 40 labels show at a time anyway.
Hide what you don't need
Switch off kinds and statuses with the filters in the menu (J). Done is hidden at first.
Big schematics
Ghost blocks of a large schematic take the most work. Switching off Display… → Block textures shows schematic buildings as plain boxes again.
Network
While you're in a world with the overlay or the HUD on, the mod asks for changes to a shared world every 10 seconds. When nothing changed, the answer is tiny. Plan files are read from your computer and checked for changes every 2 seconds.
